Expert Setup

The Expert Setup allows total control over the installation of Iceberg. It is intended for Windows Server environments, or hosted service providers such as DiscountASP or Mosso. Unlike the Express Install, the Expert Install does not come with an automated installer, therefore it does not require the UltiDev Cassini web server or SQL Server Express. The archived download includes the web application files, database generation scripts, and detailed instructions. If you are considering using the Expert Install, you should be comfortable with ASP.NET web application deployment steps, such as creating sites in IIS, working with SQL Server databases and applying file permissions.

The primary adantage of using the Expert Install is that you can deploy Iceberg in an established server environment, utilizing existing web servers and databases. This includes web hosting environments. As Iceberg is distributed as an ASP.NET web application, you have full control over the deployment and configuration.
